Description
Tarpon Bay Beach is a mid-island Sanibel Gulf access near Tarpon Bay Road — a simpler public beach stop than Bowman’s long dune walk or the lighthouse tip. Expect parking that is tighter than the big county lots, soft shelling sand, and a lower-key feel than Blind Pass. It is a Gulf beach (not the bay kayak launch at Tarpon Bay Explore Center). Use it when you want a quicker Sanibel swim without the full Bowman’s hike from the lot.

Light crowds create a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for those seeking a calm, uncrowded beach day.
Paid parking ensures access to this quiet, shelling-friendly beach destination.
Soft Sanibel Gulf sand with moderate shell cover — less hash than Blind Pass, less remote than Bowman’s far strand.
