St. Petersburg Municipal Beach is the City of St. Petersburg’s beach on Treasure Island, not downtown St. Pete. It sits on Gulf Boulevard with metered parking, restrooms, and a wide public Gulf strip. Sunset Beach is to the west; the Treasure Island tourist hotels sit to the east. It is a city park, not a state park.

John’s Pass is the inlet between Madeira Beach and Treasure Island, with John’s Pass Village on the Madeira side. The village is a boardwalk of tourist shops, fishing charters, and restaurants. The actual beach access is west of Gulf Boulevard, not inside the village itself. Park in the village garage or lots if you are going to the boardwalk or a charter. Upham Beach is the north end of St. Pete Beach at Blind Pass, where St. Pete Beach meets Treasure Island. It is narrower than the hotel beach to the south and is known for groins and sand movement. Archibald Beach Park is the Pinellas County park on Madeira Beach at 157th Avenue, north of John’s Pass. It has a playground, restrooms, a paid parking lot, and a straight Gulf walkover.
